Lily Smyth – Counsellor & Trauma-Informed Practitioner
I work with adults ready to reflect on life challenges, relationships, and childhood patterns, providing both short-term tools and longer-term psychodynamic exploration. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can process emotions, gain insight, and make lasting change.
Working online across the UK as well as in person in Belfast, I offer flexible sessions designed around your schedule. I have a special interest in supporting people with endometriosis and the emotional impact of chronic health issues.
My Story
My journey into therapy began in 2019, after finishing my degree and realising I wanted a career where I could truly support others. That led me to train as a therapist, and I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2023.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, helping them navigate all kinds of challenges. I work online with individuals across the UK, offering both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on what feels right for each person.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw on different therapeutic models to suit each individual. No two people are the same, and I believe therapy should reflect that. What stays consistent is the genuine, respectful, and supportive relationship I build with my clients—I love what I do, and I think that shines through in the strong connections we create together.
Whatever you’re going through, I'm here to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
